As tough as it is to listen to LA Rams HC Sean McVay after a humbling loss, the other end of the emotional spectrum is worth the wait. This was a win, the first win of the season. After a Week 2 performance that opened the floor to questions as to whether any success could be found this season, to a Week 3 win that surpassed everyone's expectations.

The Rams rookies showed up. The Rams veterans showed up. This was a game that allowed far too many opportunities for this game to become as much of a rout as Week 2. But this was a team where inexperience may have been a benefit. The Rams young roster did not have enough experience to fully understand the dire straits this team was in. After a humbling loss, the Rams fell behind by 14 to a team that knows how to beat the Rams.

Rams reporter J.B. Long does a great job of bullet pointing The Coach McVay Show:

McVay loves what he saw from the team in Week 3. If you don't know this about Sean McVay, he has instant and total recall. But even more impressive, McVay is never at a loss for words when it comes to setting up a play and a player's performance.

McVay had a lot of praise for Tutu Atwell, Jordan Whittington, Joshua Karty, and a host of offensive players. And rather than summarize what McVay had to say, I will simply allow you to listen to/watch the embedded 24-minute video.

The Rams were not perfect. In fact, there is a rather significant punch list of actionable 'fixes' that this team must work on before facing the Chicago Bears in Week 4. But the team got a lot of improvement from special teams, and the offense was incredibly efficient.

Best of all, the team stayed healthy. In terms of stages of development, Week 3 was a huge step in the right direction. But this journey has just begun. Stay tuned, as we have much more to discuss about this team.

And as always, thanks for reading.
