How many record-setters does the LA Rams 2024 rookie class have this year?

Jared Verse: NFL All-Time Rookie QB Sack Record
If there is one record that appears to be vulnerable to the modern-day NFL rookie of late, it's that of getting after the quarterback. The current NFL All-Time Rookie QB Sack Record holder is former Tennessee Titans Jevon Kearse, who racked up 14.5 quarterback sacks in 1999. But that record has been under assault ever since, with Dallas Cowboys Micah Parson getting 13.0 sacks in 2021.
While it will certainly not be an easy mountain to climb, LA Rams rookie OLB has the best shot of any rookie on the team at setting a record, and here's why.
Because the team's defensive front is so young, offensive coordinators will be at a loss to identify the primary threat on this defense. Undoubtedly, they will consider NT Kobie Turner and OLB Byron Young as the most dangerous threats. Now, combine that fact with the realization that Jared Verse is not alone, but arrives with an ace-in-the-hole in rookie teammate Braden Fiske. It is the chemistry that these two have already built as teammates for the Florida State Seminoles defense in 2023 that gives Verse a distinct advantage in 2024.
While I won't say that Verse will set the rookie sack record in 2024, he is the Rams rookie who is in the best position to set the record. Without All-Pro DT Aaron Donald lining up, this defense will be a bit more structured and deliberate in its pass rush now. That means that the defensive front will deliberately use more stunts than before.
And that strategy absolutely favors rookie OLB Jared Verse.
Greatness in the NFL does not happen by accident. Elite players put in a tremendous amount of time after practice to study film and plot their moves and counter moves. Right now, rookie outside linebacker Jared Verse is putting in the work. All we can do now is wait and hope the effort was worth it.
As always, thanks for reading.
