If there, will LA Rams select WR Marvin Harrison, Jr, in the 2024 NFL Draft?

Some fans are not willing participants to thought exercise, and that's okay. But the current status of the LA Rams is ideal for those type of scenarios that make us all stop, look and listen. After all, despite our confidence and bravado, just one or two injuries could derail the 2023 NFL season for the Rams, and send them into the 2024 NFL Draft with a Top-3 draft pick.

That's where the fun begins. Until now, the presumption is that the LA Rams, armed with such a valuable first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft would target their next franchise quarterback exclusively. After all, Matthew Stafford is getting up in years, was banged up pretty severely in the 2022 NFL season, and his contract is running out. The 2024 NFL Draft, loaded with solid quarterback potential prospects, seemed to be an oasis for parched teams like the LA Rams to drink from the wellspring of optimism and reload the quarterback room for years to come.

Rams may focus on WR in 2024 NFL Draft

Still, the LA Rams did not tackle the wide receiver position heavily in the 2023 NFL Draft, and the team has historically leaned heavily into adding receiver talent to the Rams roster in the past. So what happens if the LA Rams step up to the podium during the 2024 NFL Draft, USC quarterback Caleb Williams has already been selected, and Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. remains on the board?

The Rams did add rookie Puka Nacua in the 2023 NFL Draft. While we have yet to determine just how effective he will be this season, he has a rather uphill battle to wrestle offensive snaps away from veterans Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and Tutu Atwell. Even if he does get offensive snaps, will it be enough of a beachhead to launch his NFL career out of the gates?
