Induction into Cradle of Coaches for LA Rams HC Sean McVay reiterates power of youth

LA Rams head coach Sean McVay is still the youngest head coach in the NFL. He is the youngest head coach to win a Super Bowl. And now, he has another honor. He has been enshrined in bronze next to his college football field at Yager Stadium.

The history of coaching football is not unique to the NFL. Some of the most reckonizable names of coaches belonging to the game of football are those of college football head coaches, like Notre Dame head coach Ara Parseghian, Michigan head coach Bo Schembachler, and Ohio State head coach Woody Hayes. But the one thing that coaching football across either the NCAA or NFL is the fact that the best of the coaches call Miami University their Alma Mater.

That has led to the nickname "Cradle of Coaches," referring to the university's reputation as the birthplace of some of the greatest Strategians to ever coach the game. So why is a story about the University of Miami at Ohio landing on website about the LA Rams? LA Rams head coach Sean McVay, a 2008 Miami graduate, is the 10th coach to be enshrined in bronze on the plaza outside Yager Stadium.

The Cradle of Coaches has its own website, a place to purchase memorabilia and learn more about the names of those who have taken the game of football to new heights. And now, the plaza outside Yager Stadium honors their 11 graduates who have elevated the game of football and the profession of coaching that game in the process.
