When it comes to the LA Rams offense, it's a safe bet to presume that much of the activity will be routed through the hands of veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Since the Rams traded for veteran QB Matthew Stafford, whenever he and Kupp are on the football field, the results have been magical. Matthew Stafford trusts Cooper Kupp, and Kupp has an uncanny knack of knowing where his quarterback needs him to be when it's time to hurl the football downfield.
The problem is that neither Cooper Kupp nor Matthew Stafford has appeared in every regular season game since Stafford arrived in 2021. For Kupp, the receiver has only suited up in 40 of the 54 possible games. So when it comes to putting points up on the scoreboard, the offense has been forced to look elsewhere.
Cooper Kupp's Week 4 status
While I would love to say that Cooper Kupp is playing in Week 4, we know that he has been ruled out for the game against the Chicago Bears. That news was shared in the Rams' final injury report and came as no surprise. Kupp suffered an ankle injury, and the team simply opted not to handle his time off via an oversaturated IR designation.
So who can you turn to in Week 4? For a receiver, I would look for significant contributions from veteran WR Demarcus Robinson and/or rookie Jordan Whittington. They are two sturdy receivers who can catch the ball and add significant yards after the catch.
If neither excites you, you could look for yardage from TE Colby Parkinson. Want to try a long shot? Look for TE Davis Allen to show up big in his return to the offense in Week 4. The Rams may not be at full strength, but the offense still has plenty of firepower. You simply need to look at the right players.
As always, thanks for reading.
