LA Rams veteran backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo may not be the most important part of Rams training camp or the most interesting part of Rams training camp, but he is *a* part of Rams training camp. And that means he gets a blog! Granted, it's an easy lift when does things like talk with The Athletic ($) about how miserable his time with the Patriots, 49ers, and Raiders was.

More importantly, it sounds like he's finally found a nice, happy home. Josh McDaniels can't hurt him anymore. Garoppolo had nothing but nice things to say about his time with the Rams so far, and he certainly sounds like someone who's thrilled to be a backup quarterback for a good team in Southern California.

Jimmy G's got a lot of nice to things to say about playing on the Rams

This place allows you to be yourself, too, which is different than other places I’ve been," he said. "Obviously, everyone wants to win. Everyone wants to perform well. They do it in the right way here. They push you positively. There’s just a lot of good things going on, man. I’m enjoying every bit of it. Even the meetings are a good time ...

Even the meetings are a good time! I assume that means every Rams' meeting is 15 minutes at most. We won't see much of Jimmy G through the first two games of the year – he'll be suspended for a failed drug test this offseason – and frankly we probably won't see much of him for the 15 games after that. If we do, something went very wrong and people aren't probably paying super close attention anymore anyway (Sorry Jimmy. It's nothing personal.)

Maybe this latest version of Jimmy G, basking in the warm glow of Sean McVay/LA sun, will be the best yet. When you're so happy that you actively enjoy meetings, you know things are going pretty well. The Rams should print out that Athletic article and bring it to every free agent pitch for the next decade.
