LA Rams 2023 UDFA Live Tracker: The search for the final 32

As soon as the LA Rams efforts end with the close of the 2023 NFL Draft, the real work begins. That is not some overdramatacization, it's simply the face as the LA Rams must now pivot from drafting 13 players during the draft to signing 33 undrafted players after the draft.

The LA Rams draft will end, and then the real chaos begins.

And they must do so as 31 other teams race to sign their 10-20 additional players necessary to complete their 90 player rosters as well. So what can we tell you about the LA Rams UDFA shopping list?

From Day 2 selections, the LA Rams appear to be committed to key foundational pieces to shore up their roster for the next four years. While that trend may continue into Day 3, I expect the LA Rams to add two defensive backs, a tight end, a wide receiver, one quarterback, and several players who will either directly help out or indirectly contribute to special teams play. So, what's left?

The Rams will need plenty of competition, and will likely seek to sign some priority undrafted rookie free agents from the following deep positions in the 2023 NFL Draft Class:

1. Edge
2. Offensive tackle
3. Running back
4. Defensive back
5. Special Teams specialist
6. Offensive skill player
7. Linebacker
8. Defensive Lineman

Keep in mind that with so many vacancies on the current LA Rams roster, and due to the fact that the Rams will be onboarding more than half of their roster, there will be a significant amount of time to achieve the final roster of 90 players. Once the Rams coaching staff has the opportunity to see all of the new faces together, there is likely to be some tweaking to the roster as the Rams front office tries to balance not only the numbers of players, but also the talent level, that is distributed between offense and defense.
