It's safe to say the 2023 Los Angeles Rams did more than expected of them, but how do they keep the momentum going this coming season?

Free agency begins in just under a month, and then it's on to the 2024 NFL Draft, where the Rams hold the no. 19 overall pick. Last year, this organization came away with one of the best draft classes in the league without boasting a first rounder. This year, let's see if they can do it again, only they now have that ammunition back in their pocket.

The Rams need to find a way to add talent at specific positions while also keeping in mind their future, and in our latest five-round mock, they're able to do just that.

In this 2024 NFL mock draft, the L.A. Rams make a bold trade up to land a franchise player

Les Snead has never been shy, and to kick things off, he moves up because he sees arguably the best offensive tackle in the draft fall out of the top six picks.

With that no. 7 selection, now, the Rams select Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa "Olu" Fashanu.

Alongside Notre Dame's Joe Alt, Fashanu is at the top of his class at the offensive tackle position. With the Rams needing a starting left tackle, Fashanu comes in and fills that need for several years to come.

The 6-foot-6 Fashanu has excellent length and a strong base. He is an athletic specimen, too, being able to move real well for his size. The power he has in his legs also extends up into his upper body, being able to stonewall opposing pass rushers.

Fashanu is a technician with his hands and footwork, as well. That's something you might not see at first glance, but watching him at work is a thing of beauty. Many see his strength and agility with ease, but it's the way he can establish and re-establish his base while keeping active hands that allows him to be so good.

This gives L.A. stability at a key position going forward, and Fashanu is well-worth the trade up.
