The LA Rams have seen and suffered a great deal in just one week of NFL regulation play. And as a result, the once deep offensive line that seemed to be deep enough to field two platoons of exciting and talented road graders has been whittled down to a handful of players, and even now, there is deep concern that none of the team's starting five offensive linemen are truly at 100 percent health.

After their Sunday Night Football loss, the Rams have to face the reality that more offensive linemen have been wounded. Starting offensive lineman Steve Avila, a guy who played every offensive snap in 2023, suffered an injury and won't be healthy for weeks. So too, swing tackle Joe Noteboom was injured, and he was out too. And so, the Rams were forced to put backup center Beaux Limmer and offensive tackle AJ Arcuri into the game. But now, who will back them up?

The only offensive lineman who did not see action against the Detroit Lions was third-year interior offensive lineman Logan Bruss. And that makes for a dangerously thin depth chart heading into Week 2. But the LA Rams have a wizard in the front office, and GM Les Snead is already working his magic to replenish the ranks.

And he is already on it.

The Rams are signing center Dylan McMahon off the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad. So what should you know about him?

Per his Pro Football Focus grade, McMahon played 157 offensive snaps in preseason, allowing no quarterback sacks and committing just one penalty. The Eagles drafted him in Round 6 of the 2024 NFL Draft, and his draft profiles had him projected as a Day 3 rookie prospect. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and tipping the scales at 298 pounds.

While his size his more Coleman Shelton-ish, he is another powerhouse who was touted for his strength. Combine that will excellent mobility, and you have a backup interior offensive lineman who has true NFL potential.

He is not as impressive as Beaux Limmer just yet, but give him time. The Rams clearly need to get some offensive linemen added to the roster in case of more injuries, and McMahon is certainly worth a shot at filling a vital need for the team.

This is just one signing. You'd almost have to expect more to come.
