LA Rams Mock Draft: Elite WR and dominating D are theme of this draft

The Rams still need to reinforce the defense to compete in Super Bowl LIX. They accomplish that in the latest mock draft.

After seven rounds and 11 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Rams emerge with the following players:

  • Round 1 - Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU (19th overall)
  • Round 2 - Adisa Isaac, EDGE, Penn State (52nd overall)
  • Round 3 - Cole Bishop, S, Utah (83rd overall)
  • Round 3 - T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas (99th overall)
  • Round 5 - Jonah Elliss, EDGE, Utah (154th overall)
  • Round 5 - MarShawn Lloyd, RB, USC (155th overall)
  • Round 6 - Khristian Boyd, DT, Northern Iowa (196th overall)
  • Round 6 - Sione Vaki, S, Utah (209th overall)
  • Round 6 - Caedan Wallace, OT, Penn State (213th overall)
  • Round 6 - Nehemiah Pritchett, CB, Auburn (217th overall)
  • Round 7 - Cam Little, K, Arkansas

While the 2024 NFL Draft is predominantly defense, note that the team does add a top wide receiver prospect, a versatile running back, and a versatile offensive tackle to the roster as well.

The team may be filling roster spots via free agency, but I can envision that if these prospects are selected, the team could have five new starters in 2024, as well as three players who could earn some playing time as well.

Considering the fact that the team competed in the 2024 NFL Playoffs, and extended nine players from that team, that is a very successful rookie class. Can the team continue to find incredible players on Day 3 of the NFL Draft? In a word, yes.

This draft class adds something for everyone, and yet ensures that the team's hopes for a win in Super Bowl LIX remain in sight.

As always, thanks for reading.
