4 L.A. Rams players on training camp roster bubble
By Ryan Heckman
3. Lance McCutcheon, WR
Wide receiver has been a hot topic lately in Los Angeles, especially after Cooper Kupp went down with a notable injury. The biggest question other than when Kupp could potentially return, of course, is just who will step up in his place?
Since Kupp's injury, rookie fifth-round pick Puka Nacua has been a standout in a few practices. This was the perfect opportunity for Nacua, too, and he's taking advantage of it. I noted just a few days ago that Nacua could be one of those to relish this opportunity, and thus far, he is doing exactly that.
Lance McCutcheon is another one who could step into an opportunity without Kupp on the field, too, but he faces a lot of competition. He's got guys like Demarcus Robinson, Tyler Johnson, and a few others including some undrafted free agents, that he's competing with.
McCutcheon was an undrafted free agent out of Montana State in 2022 and suited up for 10 games a year ago. But, he now has a ton of guys surrounding him that could overtake his potentially-final spot on that depth chart.
