Are the LA Rams stuck in a rut? If you followed many of the Rams roster moves in 2023, ir it did not involve a rookie, it often involved a player who had some history with the LA Rams. The Rams made it a point to reunite with RB Sony Michel and DB John Johnson III to prepare for the 2023 NFL season. While Michel did not remain, the Rams did benefit from JJIII's experience.

When the Rams running back room was depleted, the team wasted no time in reuniting with former running back Darrell Henderson Jr. Henderson helped the LA Rams weather the storm until feature RB Kyren Williams returned to the 53-man Rams roster in Week 12 to face the Arizona Cardinals.

The Rams do not part ways with many NFL players on bad terms, While the Rams willingness to bring back players who were previously released may not excite fans, we have to accept and acknowledge that as the ways the LA Rams roll in 2023. And it's not about to change anytime soon:

Just ask former kicker Brett Maher, who is signing with the LA Rams for the second time this season.

Apparently the LA Rams believe in the old adage: "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't." The LA Rams, for better or worse, know veteran kicker Brett Maher.

Fan reactions go viral, and are worth checking out

The best part of this latest development is the reaction of Rams fans:

Another fan already knows where his next kick will end up:

Many Rams fans felt that words were unnecessary to capture the emotions of the moment

Of course, there is always at least one person in the crowd who sees things a bit differently:

Finally, other NFL fans are content to sit back, and wait:

In the end, the LA Rams likely did the best possible option with the 2023 NFL season down to the last game of the year. Win or lose, the Rams are in the NFL Playoffs. So this is not about win and get in.

The Rams front office painted itself into a corner. In Week 18, there are no good option in the NFL Free Agency market to sign. The LA Rams clearly understood this, and opted to reunite with a player who may not check all of the boxes, but one who the Rams can check the boxes on.

Maher was not the sole reason for the LA Rams struggles early in the season. Perhaps now, with more offensive oomph, he will fare better. One thing is certain. NFL fans have plenty to say about the LA Rams reunion with former kicker Brett Maher. If you need a smile, just go on social media and check it out.
