Will Cooper Kupp take up coaching after his football career?
There is an old saying that goes like this:
Those who can, play
Those who cannot play, coach
Those who cannot play or coach, critique
In short, NFL players are those professional athletes who can perform at the level of the NFL. Those athletes who simply cannot perform at the threshold to remain active in the NFL, but whose passion for the game continues to burn red hot, will find their way into coaching the sport. For the rest of the football nerds who love the game, but are neither exceptionally athletic or directly involved in the Xs and Os discussion, become NFL analysts.
So what does the future for Cooper and wife Anna Kupp look like? Will the man whose expertise catapulted him to nearly break the All-Time NFL Single Season Receiver Record pivot to coaching after his NFL playing days are over? In a word. No:
"I am asked all the time if I am going to transition into being an NFL coach when I am done playing. Here is, respectfully, why that will never happen!"Rams WR Cooper Kupp
Both Anna and Cooper Kupp present a united front on the fact that when Cooper retires, he will completely walk away from the game. He has already spend much of his life in pursuit of NFL greatness. When he retires, he will seek the off-ramp towards a more balanced life.
Now, here's why it makes perfect sense.
