5. Does Matthew Stafford have enough left in the tank?
After a down, injury-ridden season, Matthew Stafford is once again under center for the Rams. As we now know more than ever, this is not the Super Bowl team Stafford once led a couple of seasons ago. If anything, this roster feels more like one of Stafford's older Lions rosters, which he had to carry through some dark times.
At 35 years old, Stafford's health is certainly a question mark. Is he going into this season completely healthy? As we saw last year, Stafford had said he was healthy and feeling good, but it was obvious he wasn't. What type of quarterback are we going to see on Sunday?
It seems like forever ago, but Stafford is only two years removed from throwing for nearly 4,900 yards and 41 touchdowns en route to a Super Bowl championship. The Rams are going to need something close to that type of performance out of Stafford in order to have a shot at even entering the Wildcard discussion this season.
Sadly, I just don't see Stafford having anywhere close to that type of season. I may be wrong, and hopefully I am. But, this could be the beginning of the end for the 14-year veteran entering his 15th pro season.
