4 Cam Akers trade packages for current interested teams

The Rams trade Cam Akers to Cleveland in wake of Nick Chubb injury

This might be the most perfect situation for Akers to get ample playing time, above all other teams interested. Monday night, the Cleveland Browns lost starting running back Nick Chubb for the year after he went down with a nasty knee injury.

After Chubb's exit, though, Jerome Ford took over and didn't miss a beat. He actually ran extremely well, totaling 106 yards on 16 carries.

What the Browns could do in this situation, though, is use Akers and Ford a lot like they used Chubb and Kareem Hunt, in order to keep each one fresh and give them opportunities to do what they do well.

Ford can catch the football in addition to running it, and the Browns could decide to use both of these guys in a big way to also take pressure off of Deshaun Watson, who hasn't started the year off too impressively.

In this deal, the Browns would be giving up a pair of sixth-round picks to ensure they've given the best possible offer. I would be shocked if Akers fetched more than a single fifth-round pick, so this deal would be more than acceptable for L.A.
