Hopefully, the Rams can put together a more competitive roster next season.

After a somewhat promising start to the 2023 season, the Los Angeles Rams have dropped three in a row and sit at 3-6 at the halfway point in the year.

Some aspects of this team have looked better than expected, but for the most part, the record is probably right around where most fans anticipated them being. This Rams team has a lot of holes just a couple of seasons after that Super Bowl, and Les Snead has his work cut out for him next offseason.

Speaking of which, let's look ahead to the 2024 offseason and try to predict six players and coaches who will not return, and a couple who will.

Offensive tackle Alaric Jackson will not return in 2024

First up, offensive tackle Alaric Jackson is not going to be back in 2024. First off, his contract is up after the 2023 season. Second, Jackson has not played well this season. He's been mediocre, at best, in pass protection. But, in the run blocking department, Jackson has been awful.

If you ask Pro Football Focus, Jackson gets a grade of 44.9 in run blocking through the halfway point on the season. The Rams have to revamp part of their line, and Jackson is included there. Even though he is young with time to improve, Jackson's development will not continue in Los Angeles.

Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson will not return in 2024

Demarcus Robinson was a fine signing by the Rams this offseason, so long as they were looking for a veteran that could step in when needed. So far, Robinson has hardly played this season. He has one reception on the year, in fact. The journeyman wide receiver will be a free agent after this season, and Los Angeles likely won't have a reason to bring him back.
