Round 6 pick 217
Center Matt Lee out of the University of Miami is a steal late in Round 6. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 304 pounds, he is ideally suited for the big boy physicality of centering an NFL offensive line. The team needs to reinforce the backup center position after the loss of both Brian Allen and Coleman Shelton, and Matt Lee is the right guy for the job.
Lee has solid core strength and power. He simply needs to refine his technique to get more knee bend, and better push to clear out running lanes. He is ideally suited for pass blocking, with a wide angle lens of peripheral view, he has the ability to track defensive blitzes and stunts even as he is engaged as a blocker.
Round 7 pick 254
Kicker Joshua Karty out of Stanford is the last player chosen by the Rams in the 2024 NFL Draft and addresses their need to introduce kicker competition into this year's training camp. The team brought back last year's kicker Tanner Brown, but Karty has the power and accuracy that the team is looking for.
The Rams have to improve their field goal completion rate, and Karty can have a lot to say about that.
