4. Brian Burns, EDGE, Carolina Panthers
Finally, we come to one of the most popular trade candidates thrown around right now, Carolina Panthers pass rusher Brian Burns.
Last year, the Rams sent Carolina an offer for Burns that included two first-round picks. And yes, the Panthers turned it down in a shocking move. Now, Carolina still has yet to extend Burns and look even more likely to trade him. But, will Carolina get an offer even close to what the Rams offered last year?
Probably not, which is great for Los Angeles.
Imagine putting Burns on the same line as Aaron Donald. The 25-year-old has improved each of the last couple of seasons, going from 9.0 sacks in 2021 to 12.5 in 2022 and is coming off two straight Pro Bowls.
The Rams have managed just 12 sacks as a team this season, which is close to last in the league (Houston is at the bottom with nine). Getting Burns in the fold would help increase this area to what the Rams are more accustomed to after having a defense featuring Donald, Von Miller and Leonard Floyd once upon a time.
