The 2022-23 Los Angeles Rams season was not anybody’s idea of a title defense, but with injuries stacking up and roster limitations, the bill finally came due from the years of going all-in and then going all-in again. The worst part is Les Snead and Sean McVay don’t even get to keep the the No. 6 overall pick that they earned with their 5-12 season.
The good news for the Rams is that Sean McVay is still their coach, Matthew Stafford is coming back, so is Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Cooper Kupp, so with good health and some added depth in the offseason, could the Rams get back to the playoffs and bring another Lombardi Trophy to LA?
If you think so, then there’s some good value to be had with their offseason Super Bowl 58 odds.
Super Bowl 58 Odds
In McVay we trust
The most important piece of the puzzle is still going to put the headset on and coach the LA Rams. Sean McVay, still the youngest head coach in the NFL, has already begun flirting with a very early retirement which would more likely be a year-long reprieve, Sean Payton style. However, he is committed to coming back and despite his twitter bio saying “former NFL player” for a few hours early this offseason it looks like Aaron Donald will be back.
The core that won the Rams Super Bowl 56 is still in place, but father time and the salary cap might have caught up to them. There’s certainly a chance that they sold out for one Super Bowl and that’s fine because the goal is to hang banners, not go 9-8 year after year. However, I could see Snead and McVay shaking things up just enough this offseason and drafting well in the late rounds. That could give them the depth they need to get back into the mix in a week NFC.
The Eagles are certainly a force to be reckoned with, but they won’t be as dominant as last season. Beyond Philly the NFC is wide open and at +3000 odds, betting on Sean McVay might not be a terrible idea.
