Do the LA Rams need one more piece to ensure an appearance in Super Bowl LIX? Bleacher report seems to think so.

As we get closer and closer to actual football games, there's only so much time left for free agent content. The same headlines that paid everyone's rent in March aren't quite hitting the same way in August, and everyone's scrambling to juice the very last bit of free agent speculation out where they can.

And while typically those are the perfect ingredients for pointless, cringy content, I'm thrilled to announce that I've found an exception to the rule. Well, at least where the LA Rams are concerned, that is. Bleacher Report went and assigned one last offseason task to every team in the NFL, and the Rams' is ... actually fun? If nothing else, at least it's exciting. Any time you can daydream about your team signing an All-Pro safety three weeks before the season starts, you should; it's the little things in life.

Bleacher Report wants the Rams to go sign Justin Simmons

BR: Los Angeles lost Jordan Fuller in free agency after Fuller was the team's best safety last season. While the front office brought in Kamren Curl and Kamren Kinchens in addition to re-signing John Johnson III this offseason, Simmons would be an upgrade over all of them.

The four-time second-team All-Pro has been a ball hawk throughout his career, racking up 30 interceptions and 64 passes defended in eight seasons.

Simmons may be the rare example of a still-available All-Pro who still plays somewhere close to that level. He was named Second Team All-Pro for the fourth time in five seasons last year, starting all 15 games that he appeared in. He's a good against the run (77.6 run defense grade from PFF), still playable in coverage (63% reception rate against him in 2023), and has consistently been able to create turnovers. Even with Curl and Lake – both of whom are plenty good – Simmons would be an upgrade.

Bleacher Report: just when you think you're out, they pull you back in.
