The NFC isn't nearly as stacked as the AFC and that means the Los Angeles Rams can continue to make Super Bowl appearances by trying to stay ahead of the other NFC squads. Well, Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report suggested a trade for the Rams that would be absolutely bonkers and would move them to the front of the class in the NFC.

Davenport proposed the Rams send a 2025 first-round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for Adams, who had over 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last year in Sin City. Davenport wrote that Adams called out the Raiders quarterback situation, admitting there'd be struggles.

While adding Adams to the Rams would be a lot of fun, fans are probably saying to themselves, "We don't really need him!" Davenport touched on that.

"The Rams admittedly don't really need Adams—Puka Nacua was a revelation as a rookie, breaking a 60-year-old record for receiving yards by a first-year player. Cooper Kupp has struggled with injuries the past two seasons, but in 2021 he won the receiving "Triple Crown" –leading the NFL in receptions, yards and receiving scores."

Rams trading for Davante Adams would make their offense even more electric

As Davenport alluded to, the Rams don't necessarily need Adams. Puka Nacua had a rookie season for the ages and Cooper Kupp, while struggling with injuries the last two years, is still Cooper Kupp. Adams would be a fun weapon to have in the fold but is he needed? No.

Giving up a first-round pick for a player you don't need might not make a lot of sense but the Rams have always been aggressive when it comes to improving their team and trying to stay atop the NFC. If they swung for the fences and added Davante Adams, even when he's not really needed, it'd be a lot of fun for the fans to watch.
