Rams have the perfect trade target just sitting right there for them
The Los Angeles Rams could have the most lethal wide receiver room in the NFL if they decided to swing for the fences and trade for Tee Higgins. The current Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver requested a trade on Monday after the Bengals franchise tagged him and reportedly didn't have any long-term contract discussions over the past year.
While the Rams have Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, adding Higgins could give them a video game-like trio of wide receivers for Matthew Stafford. The trade could make sense too, which is even crazier.
It'd sure be fun if the Los Angeles Rams went big and traded for Tee Higgins.
I understand that this isn't something that's going to happen but man would it be fun! Higgins is coming off his weakest season as a pro but he was injured throughout the season. In 2021 and 2022, he had over 1,000 yards receiving and was one of Joe Burrow's favorite targets. He's used to be being in a crowded receiver room so having Kupp and Nacua there wouldn't hinder him in the slightest.
As Josh Larky tweeted, the Rams have the cap space (approximately $16 million, as of this writing) and they own their first-round pick for the first time since 2016. The Rams have proven that they don't value their first-round picks as much as some teams do so trading it wouldn't be a farfetched move for them at all, plus they'd be getting Higgins, who would make their offense even more electric.
This is the kind of move the Rams have been prone to make since Sean McVay came to town but it feels unlikely that they'd actually target Tee Higgins. We can still dream though.
