Rams respond to Stefon Diggs trade in latest 4-round 2024 NFL mock draft

With the 28th pick
of the 2024 NFL Draft, the LA Rams select Chop Robinson, Edge rusher, out of Penn State. While some fans do not consider the energetic and passionate Penn State pass rusher worthy of a selection to this defense, others have recognized that Robinson's energy and electrifying persona are an excellent complement to the cool ninja-like skills of OLB Byron Young and the fast and furious style of NT/DL Kobie Turner.
There are no NFL perfect edge players in the 2024 NFL Draft, nor in any draft for that matter. While prospects may dominate at their position in college, the NFL game is quite an upgrade, both in terms of physicality and speed. But Robinson's fury when the football is snapped may give him the edge needed to have an immediate impact in the NFL:
If you like physical and athletic players, you are certainly in for a treat. Chop Robinson is one of the most athletically gifted outside linebacker prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 254 pounds, he has plenty of size and power to play the position. But when he accelerates, his road-runner speed blows past and through blockers quickly:
Best of all, he loves football. He possesses an infectious personality that harmonizes with teammates, much like that of Byron Young and Kobie Turner. While we projected Robinson at 19, he is there at 28 in this mock draft and holds too much value to pass up.
Demeioun 'Chop' Robinson played three seasons of college football, and demonstrated throughout his college career that he was proficient, productive, and coachable. He has often been compared to Dallas Cowboys OLB Micah Parsons, albeit a bit more raw than Parsons coming to the NFL. The Rams need to find a young man at outside linebacker whose upside is nearly limitless, and Chop Robinson checks all of the boxes.
