Rams respond to Stefon Diggs trade in latest 4-round 2024 NFL mock draft

With the 133rd pick
of the 2024 NFL Draft, the LA Rams select Jonah Elliss, Edge rusher, from Utah. For the first time in this mock draft, the team double dips at a position. But the pass rush could use all the help it can get, and that help comes in the form of Jonah Elliss in Round 4.
Elliss had a monster season in 2023, putting up 37 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, 12.0 quarterback sacks, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 248 pounds, Elliss arrives and instantly projects as second-year veteran OLB Byron Youngs rotational backup.
Elliss is another true fit for this defense, as he is a player who is defined less from raw athleticism and more by his passion and his effort. He has football in his blood, as his brother is Atlanta Falcons veteran OLB Kaden Elliss, But Jonah may be better than his brother.
Elliss is a polished edge rusher who already excels in many rookie trouble spots. He has a full arsenal of pass rush moves, performs with a tasmanian-like physicality when setting the edge and defending the run. He gets high marks in his football IQ, able to detect and process pre-snap movements to diagnose and disrupt the play before it has a chance to get started.
Elliss is worth the investment in Round 4. He is an immediate rotational player at OLB, and with work in the gym and the football field, and prove to be in line for an even larger role as the season progresses.
