When the LA Rams won seven of their final eight games of the 2023 NFL season, they became one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Even though the team lost in the Wild Card Round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs on the road to the Detroit Lions by a final score of 24-23, there was enough positive momentum from the second half of the season to feel good about this team's chances next season.

That next season is now. And the team certainly seems to believe in their chances at competing in Super Bowl LIX. The front office has already invested heavily into the team's offensive line and secondary. And armed with 11 draft picks, the most number of picks of any NFL team, the front office is eyeing up making more upgrades to this team's playoff roster.

Is it any wonder that there is an undercurrent of smoldering confidence about this team?

Even with the retirement of All-Pro DT Aaron Donald, there are multiple young NFL emerging stars on the defensive side of the football to assure fans that not all is bleak and barren. And the offense, loaded with weapons and now a formidable offensive line, certainly has the feel of a playoff caliber offense already.

Even as the LA Rams regroup for OTAs and meet and greet new coaches and new players, there is a sense that this team and this season have the potential to be something very special. After all, Rams HC Sean McVay has begun to slow down the pace from frantic win-now urgency to a slower style of being fundamentally sound and making sound improvements with each passing day.

The team may have cashed in the treasures of All-Pro competitors, but they have seeded the roster with future NFL stars already. Those future stars could earn All-Pro honors, just as WR Puka Nacua did in just his first NFL season and RB Kyren Williams did in his second NFL season.

The wildcard variables for the team this season is how quickly the team can reform the defense. Even if the team hovers among the Top 15 defenses this season, they will have a strong chance of not only appearing in the 2025 NFL Playoffs, but advancing in them as well.

It's a brand new chapter for the LA Rams. But like any story, the ending has yet to be written. Will this team meet or exceed expectations? Or will the team fall short? Stay tuned, because there is a lot of talen and confidence on the roster already. After the draft, we will have a much better idea of how competitive this team will be in 2024.
