Rams vs. Lions prop bets
- Matthew Stafford OVER 272.5 passing yards
- Puka Nacua OVER 76.5 receiving yards
- David Montgomery UNDER 54.5 rushing yards
Matthew Stafford OVER 272.5 passing yards
Matthew Stafford has a chance to torch his former team. The Lions' secondary has the worst defense amongst all playoff teams and by far the worst secondary. They finished the regular season ranking 30th in opponent yards per pass attempt and 25th in both opponent dropback EPA and opponent dropback success rate.
Stafford is averaging 25.3 passing yards per game this season but he has a chance to completely soar past this total against one of the worst secondaries he has faced all season.
Puka Nacua OVER 76.5 receiving yards
If I like the OVER on Stafford's passing yards total, then I'm going to like the OVER on any receiver's numbers as well. You could target Cooper Kupp, Tyler Higbee, or any of the other Rams receivers but I'm going to opt for Puka Nacua, fresh off the rookie receiving yards record.
Nacua is averaging 87.4 receiving yards per game this season so all he has to do is come within 10 yards of his season average and we're going to cash this bet.
David Montgomery UNDER 54.5 rushing yards
David Montgomery has seen a decline in snap percentage the past handful of weeks as Jahmyr Gibbs has taken a larger share of the workload. Montgomery only had 10 carries for 40 yards last week against the Vikings and has played fewer than 50% of the snaps in four of the Lions' last five games.
I'll take the UNDER on his rushing yards total on Saturday night.
