1. Eric Dickerson

Even though Eric Dickerson played about half the games in a Rams uniform as Steven Jackson, he gets the nod as the team's no. 1 running back in history purely based off of his overall talent and his accomplishments while with the organization. As the team's second all-time leading rusher, Dickerson ran for 7,245 yards in four and a half seasons with the team.

Dickerson played for the Rams from 1983 to 1987, but in that short time frame, he led the league in rushing three separate times. In his first season, Dickerson broke the all-time rookie rushing record by running for 1,808 yards in 1983.

Then, in just his second season, Dickerson rushed for a single-season record 2,105 yards; a record that still stands today. Between those five seasons (four and a half, really) Dickerson spent in a Rams uniform, he earned four All Pro honors.

If we're comparing Dickerson to either Jackson or Faulk, that's something neither one of them can say. Jackson never even made an All Pro team; not once. Meanwhile, Faulk made three during his illustrious career.

Back to Dickerson, quick. What he was able to do, in such a dominant fashion and holding such magnificent records, is truly what makes him the greatest in team history. Had he stuck around the Rams even longer, Dickerson might end up having arguably the single most impressive career of any Rams player in the history of the organization.

In 1999, Dickerson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
