The LA Rams and every fan who cheered for the Rams have made it to the end of 2023. It was a test of wills and patience, but the Rams did what seemed at times to be the impossible. The team rallied from a record of 3-6 to finish out the year at 10-7, and play to within one point of defeating the NFC North Division champions, the Detroit Lions. Perhaps best of all, the team did not play all the way into the middle of February before being denied an opportunity to hoist the Lombardi.

The Rams players and coaches got a month's jump on rest and relaxation, a head start that proved to be difficult to overcome after the 2021 season. 2022 simply happened too quickly for the team, and the resulting 5-12 record left everyone asking themselves if the magic had abandoned the team, the coaches, and the players.

And on the other hand, we can turn our attention to the future, and scry what actions now and in the coming weeks may do to the overall trajectory of the team.

That line of thinking raises the question: What actions did the Rams front office take that had the most significant impact on the team in 2023? For that answer, we need to look over the entire 2023 NFL season and see where the front office opted to act, and then assess if those actions proved to be wise choices.

But first, let's examine the NFL for the type of stand-out roster moves set the bar for the team i 2023:
