ILB Ernest Jones will put up career high numbers

If you want to know 'who will lead the team this year?' then stop right there. Veteran ILB Ernest Jones, a player whose production has skyrocketed in each of his past three seasons, will put up career high numbers in 2024. And since his numbers were very impressive in 2023 in just 15 games, you can make the case that he will have Pro Bowl numbers this season.

And you would not be lying.

Jones is the heart of this defense in many ways. But perhaps the least recognized is how he is the lightning rod for the group. In 2023, facing a new season with unrecognizable teammates, he stated that the defense would be far better than expected. And they were. This year is more of the same. So there is little doubt that 2024 will fall into the same category.

This secondary will surprise folks

While not much is being said among NFL Analysts and experts about the Rams secondary, I'm confident that this group will congeal and play far better in 2024 than many expect. After all, this is a newly refurbished secondary that has yet to play a single snap together as a group. But if the reports out of the Rams Training Camp are any indication, this is going to be a great group.

So far, veteran DB Tre'Davious White is better than the brochure, leading the secondary in skullduggery. And then there is safety Kamren Curl who seems to be everywhere on the field every time. DB Cobie Turner is getting in on the action. And this is a secondary whose arguable best player, Darious Williams, is nursing a hamstring injury.
