Saints vs. Rams final score prediction for Thursday Night Football in Week 16

The Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints are both jockeying for playoff position in the NFC, and they’ll face off on Thursday Night Football in Week 16. 

The Saints still have a shot in the NFC South division while the Rams’ best chance to make the playoffs is by way of the wild card. Los Angeles has picked up some big wins in the last few weeks, including a 28-20 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 15. 

The Rams’ offense is humming since the return of running back Kyren Williams, and the team will look to keep that going against a Saints team that has struggled to cover the spread in the 2023 season. 

New Orleans is a four-point dog in this matchup, and I’m going to use the latest odds for this game to do one of the hardest things in sports: predict the final score. 

If you can hit a bet on an exact final score, it can be very lucrative, although it is extremely tough. Let’s make an educated guess on how Thursday night’s matchup ends up:

The Rams are home favorites in this game, and they’ve been solid in that spot this season, going 3-2 ATS. 

New Orleans, on the other hand, is just 4-9-1 ATS overall in the 2023 season, one of the worst marks in the NFL. 

I think the Rams’ offensive firepower with Williams, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua is better than the Saints, especially with Chris Olave dealing with an injury. 

These teams combine to average about 46 points per game on the season, so the total at 45.5 points is rather fitting. Still, New Orleans has been an elite UNDER team, hitting it in 10 of its 14 games this season. 

The Rams are also a better UNDER team, hitting in eight of their 14 games. I’ll lean with that coming to fruition again in a Rams win on Thursday night.
