If you are an LA Rams fan, you may not be overly interested in the comings and goings on Day 1 of the NFL Draft. After all, this is just one more draft in NFL history in which the LA Rams will not be stepping up to the podium in Round 1. So, why bother?

Well, there are plenty of reasons for the Rams fans to say tuned to the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. While it's not likely, if a top rated prospect falls to a spot late in Round 1, theRams certainly have the firepower to trade up and land a true first-round rated rookie. If that blockbuster even happens, the first Round 1 selection under head coach Sean McVay, you don't really want to read about it the morning after, do you?

But there are plenty of 'tells' about Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft that can be keyed on depending on how Round 1 goes in the NFL Draft. Like what? Here are a few of the keys to keep a close eye on:

Will more than 4 quarterbacks hear their names called in Round 1?

The top four quarterbacks who are the consensus Round 1 selections are Alabama QB Bryce Young, Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud, Kentucky QB Will Levis, and finally Florida QB Anthony Richardson. But some draft analysts called for Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker to join the group right after the 2023 NFL Draft Combine.

But now, some argue that the 2023 NFL Draft will not find nearly as many quarterbacks in Round 1 as early predictions may have claimed. While there are plenty of reasons for the LA Rams to avoid choosing a quarter, when have the LA Rams ever gone the way of fan wishes?

The Rams are not 'playing by the rules,' in this draft. I mean that the Rams are willing to take a longer term for a more complete Rams roster build. If a coveted quarterback like Hendon Hooker is still on the board, even as many believe the Rams should avoid him, I would not be surprised if the Rams call out his name.
