Stripe Hype intel: Will LA Rams face Bengals QB Joe Burrow or Jake Browning?
By Bret Stuter
Rams have to prepare for another heavy dosage of running plays
Ramblin Fan: Even with Joe Burrow's availability in question, the Bengals remain a home favorite. Which player(s) must step up for the Bengals in Week 3 to cover the spread?
Leigh: (Cincinnati Bengals) Jake Browning, the backup QB, is an obvious answer here as is (Cincinnati Bengals running back) Joe Mixon. With Browning never starting an NFL game before, it'll be up to Mixon and the Bengals' run(ning) game to ensure the team doesn't drop to 0-3.
Ramblin Fan: The LA Rams have a no-name roster this season. Despite some success, nobody has heard of many of these players before this season. Which new name on the Rams roster have you heard of who could be the most problematic to the Bengals' success in Week 3, and why?
Leigh: (LA Rams rookie wide receiver) Puka Nacua, of course! I had no idea who this kid was two weeks ago but after failing to get him on my fantasy football roster, I'm well aware of his abilities. The Bengals' secondary got torched by (Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Lamar)Jackson and the Ravens this past week so Nacua and Matthew Stafford might be able to replicate that success depending on which version of the Bengals' secondary we get.
Ramblin Fan: What do you believe the final score to be? Who will be the hero(es) on the winning team?
Leigh: It's so hard to predict this game because we don't know if Burrow will be out there or not. I really can't see Cincinnati dropping to 0-3 so I'll say they win a low-scoring affair. Give me a 17-14 Bengals win.
Thanks again to Leigh for taking the time to answer my questions! Be sure to check out her work over on Stripe Hype.
