The ongoing feud LA Rams QB Stetson Bennett is waging that nobody is talking about

Making the worst of a bad situation
The truth of the matter is that this was a difficult situation for Stetson Bennett, and it sprang from the fact that he had to deliver in the weeks before the NFL Draft. He did deliver, but the wrong type of messaging, the wrong headlines. He made some questionable if not foolish, decisions that opened himself wide for public commentary and dissection.
That commentary did not come in the form of praise and admiration. And no matter how he tried to walk the narrow path to avoid controversy, Nagy was put on the spot by being asked at point-blank range why Bennett declined his invitation.
Great advice, bad timing
What is so controversial? Well, sometimes even the best advice that is phrased in eloquent fashion can be the victim of horrific timing. Here is the interview that ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum had with Jim Nagy, and if you listen to the way Nagy described what Stetson Bennett faces objectively, this is seriously great fatherly advice.
The advice is spot on and is quite valuable for almost all college players who hope to succeed in the NFL. Forget a great college career, and prepare to start over as the understudy (backup) quarterback role in the NFL. The problem, though, with advice is that it's just words until the recipient takes those words to heart and lives by them.
