When it comes to the LA Rams, and the rather youthful nature of the Rams roster, it comes as no surprise that rookies added after the 2024 NFL Draft already have a shot at the roster. Of course, there is no such thing as a sure thing, particularly when you are on the topic of undrafted rookie free agents who hope to make an NFL team's roster.

In 2023, we were all impressed with the array of rookie prospects signed after the 2023 NFL Draft, but only one, long snapper Alex Ward, was able to climb the ladder to earn a roster spot on the team. It didn't hurt that he was the only long snapper on the roster one year ago at this time.

But last year's outcome does not dictate this year's outcome. Last year, 2023, was particularly unique in that the team had already purged the roster of nearly all veterans who may have found themselves on the bubble due to either compensation or production concerns long before the team began to add new blood during and after the 2023 NFL Draft.

It was the sheer volume of the number of rookies in 2023 (more than three dozen) that created choke points throughout the OTAs and training camp sessions, and hindered the team's ability to pivot from focusing on the entire group to individual players. In essence, the conditions for undrafted players in 2023 was not as ripe and fertile as the typical Rams off-season program.

But 2024 is a new year. And the Rams draft class of just 10 players is a far more manageable number than the 14 players added to the team via the 2023 NFL Draft. Rams HC Sean McVay already seems quite pleased with this rookie class, which includes 10 drafted and 16 undrafted players:

But of the 16 players who did not hear their names called out in the 2024 NFL Draft, surely some players have a shot to make this roster. After all, the Rams 53-man roster was not ideally balanced after the 2023 NFL season. Some players signed elsewhere. One significant player retired. Those events create openings for new players to join this team.

Let's look at seven undrafted rookies who could earn a roster spot on the Rams roster.
