If you wanted to know what makes LA Rams DC Raheem Morris perfect for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching assignment for 2024, that would take a very long time to compile. But if you asked me why is he suddenly ready to do so? I have to point to the incredible job that he did with the LA Rams defense in 2023.

You see, for two seasons, the LA Rams and the fans were led to believe that Raheem Morris merely benefited by coaching the defensive blueprint that he inherited from former Rams DC Brandon Staley. Well, that and the fact that the Rams defense was built upon elite game-changing cornerstones.

He was blessed to oversee All-Pro DL Aaron Donald, All-Pro DB Jalen Ramsey, and even All-Pro ILB Bobby Wagner. And then there was the dependability of OLB Leonard Floyd, NT Greg Gaines, and DL A'Shawn Robinson, all of whom were solid producers on the football field. With so much star power on the football field, many argued that anyone off the streets could lead the defense and appear more than capable.

And so it was that Raheem Morris would be interviewed, but either NFL front office executives failed to recognize the unique and special qualities that made Morris an ideal HC candidate, or the timing was simply off.

Or it may have been the social media outcries of so many Rams fans who had a taste of greatness, and demanded that the entire Rams team, and particularly Rams Defensive Coordinator, help them get their fix of standing atop the NFL once more. Rams fans were addicted to greatness, and the injury-riddled Rams roster simply could not deliver more than five wins in 2022.

So what makes this the right time for Raheem Morris to shine?
