Top 10 sleepers for LA Rams heading into 2023 NFL Draft

We all know who are the top names that are flying around in forums and mock drafts, but the LA Rams haven't the firepower in terms of their NFL Draft picks to chase the stars out of the 2023 NFL Draft green room and onto the stage. This year's draft is more about the blue-collar roll-up-the-sleeves type of rookie prospects. After all, there are few if any who this LA Rams team as chasing another Super Bowl Ring in 2023.

Some have begun to joke that the goal of the LA Rams 2023 NFL season is to land the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and there is not enough known about the Rams team right now to call that one way or the other. But what we do know is that the LA Rams will need to kick over every rock and leave no stone unturned in their quest to emerge with the best 2023 rookie class possible.

In terms of sheer numbers, the LA Rams could draft 11 players, and then sign 35 more undrafted rookies to contracts. Has there ever been an NFL team where the rookies on the roster outnumber the veterans on the roster in training camp? If it's happened before, I was unable to find anything written about that team.

But that won't prevent me from taking a long hard look at the LA Rams draft and considering some of the prospects who could be ideal fits for the Rams, both in terms of positional need and skillsets. It's going to be very difficult to find a rookie prospect who does not offer some value to the Rams roster this year.

My criteria focuses on the player or players who have a solid track record, a no-nonsense quality of not-shying away from the hard work and grind, of competing through thick and thin, and who may not be a name on the tip of NFL Draft analysts, but who carry that don't-mess-with-me aura of someone who already has something to prove.

Whether small school or small role, the draft sleeper on this list may not be those you think of initially as a fit for the Rams roster. But I believe that each has that extra added bonus from where the Rams will likely find them on the board come draft day.
