III: Players' health: Especially Matthew Stafford

The LA Rams 2022 NFL season was particularly challenging due to the fact that so many veteran players fell to injury and were lost for the season. But there was not enough said about the state of the LA Rams who returned to compete in the 2022 NFL season. What do I mean?

We know that TE Tyler Higbee, WR Van Jefferson, and QB Matthew Stafford were three players whose health limited their participation in 2022 OTAs and in the early stages of training camp. That was doubly problematic for Stafford, who was unable to work with the Rams roster in their 2021 training camp as he did not have sufficient command of the Rams offensive playbook.

Sizing up super Stafford

With two years under his belt, and a strong need for the Rams offense to put up points, is there any reason for the Rams starting quarterback to be expected to put up fewer than 4500 passing yards? Unless Stafford is injured, he could pass for 5000 yards this season. After all, he debuted with nearly that many yards without any experience with this offense, and sitting out the fourth quarters of two games.

Now he's fully healthy, fully versed, and he's getting the green light to let 'er fly:

This is not Matthew Stafford's first NFL season with a lot of uncertainty facing him and his team. The funny part of this is, Stafford may be the ideal quarterback to have under center for an offense like this. He is fearless. He has an incredible success rate for GWDs (game winning drives) and 4QCs (fourth quarter comebacks). And perhaps best of all, he knows that he can lead the Rams to a Super Bowl victory.

And he, like most of the Rams players right now, are the healthiest that they've been for several years.
