Tre'Davious White explains why he signed with Rams in free agency
One of the Los Angeles Rams' biggest moves this offseason was signing former first-round pick Tre'Davious White. He was previously a member of the Buffalo Bills, who spent the 27th overall pick on him in the 2017 NFL Draft.
White was electric during the first five years of his career, making two Pro Bowls and being named All-Pro once during that time. Unfortunately, White started to get bit by the injury bug in 2021 and that's been his biggest struggle over the past two years is staying healthy. He's appeared in just 10 games over the past two seasons.
Well, it turns out that White kept his injuries in mind when picking his next destination. Dr. Neal ElAttrache is not only the Rams team doctor but he also performed the procedure on White's injury, which is what inspired White to sign with the Rams.
"I'm a guy that's very strategic (with) my approach of how I would want my rehab to go, being that I've had an ACL before and I know how rehab can go. So I was doing my homework. This team has rehab guys that have been very successful with the Achilles before."
Tre'Davious White picked the Rams because of an important connection
As noted, White has struggled to stay healthy in recent years, suffering an ACL injury in November 2021 and then suffering an Achilles injury in October 2023. Hopefully, his decision to sign with the Rams due to his connection with the team doctor pays off and the Rams can reap the benefits of having him in their secondary.
White might not be the player he used to be but he's still a former All-Pro cornerback and if he can stay healthy, perhaps the Rams will have had one of the best signings of the offseason.
