(1) Winner - WR Tutu Atwell

Before 2024, WR Tutu Atwell's best season occurred in 2023, when he hauled in 39 of 67 passes for 483 yards and three touchdowns. While it's unlikely that his usage rate will continue throughout the season, Atwell has already put up 11 receptions out of 15 targets this season for 223 yards. While he has yet to score, his catch percentage of 77.3 percent is smashing his career highs.

And in just four games, he is nearly at 50 percent of his career high in receiving yards.

Atwell may not be perfectly suited to be a featured receiver all season. But with the team's current roster limitations, he is perfectly suited to complement a 12-personnel offense. In fact, he is a vital component in unlocking the full potential of a two-tight-end offense.

Since losing Cooper Kupp to injury, Atwell has hauled in eight of 11 passes for 175 yards. That's outstanding work for a player who many considered to be a fourth or fifth receiving option in this offense.

He is integral in this offense, because as the Rams deploy two tight ends, he emerges as a primary threat to catch deeply-thrown passes. If defenses stick with linebackers to help counter two tight ends, Atwell has a field day exploiting the back end of defenses with his blazing speed. If the defenses respect Atwell's speed and play two-deep safeties, then the offense can simply run the football, leveraging both size and number advantages at the line of scrimmage.

Without Atwell, defenses simply load up the box with eight defenders and play the run.

Surprisingly, the Rams offense outgained and controlled the clock in Week 4. It was the nasty impact of two turnovers that was the difference make in the game.

The Rams are getting solid play from the roster. Hopefully, those players can elevate their game to overcome the deficiencies of other aspects of the team to help the team win their second game.

And as always, thanks for reading.
