Yes the LA Rams are 1-3, and struggling in areas that we are not accustomed to seeing this team struggle. While we all feared the absence of All Pro DT Aaron Donald might collapse the team's pass rush, that is not what is happening. And when the team lost both WR Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, on top of losing TE Tyler Higbee for the first half of the 2024 NFL season, everyone feared that the team would be unable to attack defenses through the air.
But that is not exactly the case right now either.
On the defensive side of the football, this team cannot stop the run. As in, this is the worst run defense in the NFL right now. So it's less about missing Aaron Donald and more about the team trading away veteran ILB Ernest Jones as a 'best for the team,' that has proven to be anything positive for this defense.
The secondary of this team is basic bad as well. The team has some of the worst graded defensive backs starting for the team.
As far as the offense? This is the eighth best passing offense in the NFL. You read that correctly, the eighth best. So where is this offense struggling? Look no further than their rushing offense, currently 28th-ranked in the NFL. That means that only four other NFL teams run less effectively than this team right now.
