II: Expect Jordan Whittington to have a role in Rams 2024 offense

The LA Rams selected former Texas WR Jordan Whittington with pick 37 in Round 6 of the 2024 NFL Draft. While not projected very highly, we know from the Rams' draft history at the wide receiver position that WR Coach Eric Yarber has an incredibly effective and discerning eye when it comes to identifying NFL-ready prospects.

He engineered the modern NFL WR miracle of Puka Nacua. Will lightning strike twice with the selection of 6-foot-1, 204-pound Jordan Whittington? Don't be shocked if it happens.

Talent in the NFL is fleeting. Passion is permanent. The team pivoted to players who had an overwhelming love for the game, who cared about their performance and teammates, who were coachable and willing to grind as long as it takes to be worthy of playing time on an NFL football field. That description fits Jordan Whittington perfectly.

While he is not blessed with exceptional speed, height, or collegiate production, Whittington wins through discipline, attitude, work-ethic, and grit (Yes, #DAWGWORK). While still a rookie, the loss of both WR Austin Trammell and Ben Skowronek enhance Whittington's chances of not only making the 53-man Rams roster, but in seeing some playing time this year as well.

Whittington is a rookie worth getting to know. And we will.
