When will the 2024 NFL Schedule get released for the LA Rams?

Well, scheduling games for NFL teams each year has the inadvertent effect of creating unintended advantages and disadvantages for teams due to the underlying circumstances involved in the schedule. For example, of the eight weeks allowed for NFL BYE weeks, the LA Rams faced four teams after their BYE. How many TNF games can a team play in one season?

With the new Thursday Night Football Games contract awarded to Amazon, there was a push to allow more high-profile games to be moved to the TNF time slot. As such, the NFL has approved the scheduling an NFL team to appear twice in one season.

How many Prime Time games can a team play in one season?

There is some confusion about this topic. NBC Sports reported that NFL teams can play as many as seven prime-time games in one season on March 28, 2023. Later that same year, on November 8, 2023, Pro Football Network's Tony Catalina reported that teams can play up to six prime-time games in one NFL season.

What does the NFL consider a 'Prime Time' game?

While we often are exposed to the term of NFL Prime Time games, what exactly does that mean? The term applies to the singularly scheduled NFL weekly game whose audience is not dictated by local marketing agreements. That is, Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, and Monday Night Football games televised for a national view audience are all considered Prime Time games.

What is Flexible Scheduling? When does it start?

Flexible scheduling is the term applied that allows the NFL and contracted broadcasters to change a scheduled contest to the prime time venues to allow the NFL to showcase their most competitive games for that week. ON flex scheduling weeks, the games listed for the Sunday night window are tentative and subject to change. Only Sunday afternoon games can move to Sunday night, in which the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would move to a Sunday afternoon.

Flexible scheduling for Sunday night is limited. In 2023, the option could be used twice between Weeks 5–10, Weeks 11–15, and Week 17.

In 2023, flexible scheduling became an option for Monday Night Football as well. This option was available in Weeks 12-15 and 17, allowing the NFL to move a different game into Monday Night Football and allowing the originally scheduled Monday night game to go back to Sunday afternoon. Monday Night Football flex scheduling decisions will be made on 13 days’ notice.
