Which jerseys are the Rams wearing today in Week 1 vs. the Lions?
By Bret Stuter
As a host of NFL games are played throughout Game Day Sunday by NFL teams, all eyes of the nation will tune in to watch the Los Angeles Rams travel to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. It's not only a rematch of two NFC Playoff teams who thrilled NFL fans by competing to the last moments. In that game, the Rams lost by just one point by a score of 24-23.
The loss was not the result of a missed kick by untrusted kicker Brett Maher. Ironically, Maher was perfect in the game, nailing three field goals and two extra points to put 11 points on the scoreboard. The story of the Rams scoring was the offense, or rather the lack of Red Zone success. The Rams advanced the football to within the Detroit Lions 20-yard line three times.
And on all three occasions, Brett Maher ran onto the football field when the drive stalled. He made three points each time, when the offense failed to put up six points.
Now the two teams are back in action, all set for a spirited rematch. And the belief is that the Rams, with a focus on improving their ability to put up points in the Red Zone, may come out on top in this one.
Of course, the team will need to execute throughout the day. Some believe that the clothes make the man, or in this case, the outcome of games can be determined by the Rams Gameday Uniform. We had tracked that for several years, but the team's best uniform, the Bone White jersey and Bone White pants, were the least favorite of fans, and have been generally phased out.
As a result, the Modern Throwback White jerseys have climbed to the top of fans popularity. And so, they will be worn by the LA Rams to open the 2024 NFL season:
So what is the entire Gameday Uniform? Here we go:
Rams Gameday Uniforms
Rams Jerseys: Modern Throwback White jersey
Rams Pants: Sol Yellow pants
Rams Shoes: Royal Blue shoes
Lions Gameday Uniforms
Lions Jerseys: Honolulu Blue jersey with white number
Lions Pants: Honolulu Blue pants
Lions Shoes: White Shoes
The game starts later today. While many believe this is a sure loss, I like the chances of the Rams as a road underdog. In any case, after today's game, we will know how well-prepared the team is for the 2024 NFL season. Stay tuned.
And as always, thanks for reading.
