IV: Can RB Kyren Williams crack Rams Top 20 career rushing leaders?

The LA Rams are a long-storied NFL franchise with plenty of outstanding runners over time who put up huge performances in the Horns. So the question is, can RB Kyren Williams begin the long climb up the ladder of record holders? As of right now, he stands as the 33rd-best running back in the history of the team. So how many rushing yards does he need this season to crack the Top 20?

Let's take a look.

The top Los Angeles Rams All-Time Career Rushing Leader record holder is RB Steven Jackson, who put up 10,138 yards and 56 touchdowns on 2,396 carries. As of right now, RB Kyren Williams has rushed for 1,283 yards and 12 touchdowns on 263 carries. So yes, he has a long way to go to reach the top of this mountain. But in another 161 rushing yards, he will overtake former teammate Cam Akers for a Top 30 spot on the list.

But what about a Top 20 berth?

The current holder of that spot is former Rams left halfback Tommy Wilson, who rushed 389 times for 2130 yards and 13 touchdowns. To surpass him, Williams will need 848 yards rushing and two touchdowns. So where will Kyren Williams end up if he rushes for 1,330 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2024? He will end up with 2,663 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, catapulting him to a Top-15 career rushing spot, surpassing former Rams RB Cleveland Gary.

Stay tuned.

III: Can Matthew Stafford climb Rams career passing leaders?

In just three seasons (well, 41 games which is more like 2.4 seasons), LA Rams veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has already skyrocketed to a Top 10 spot on the Los Angeles Rams All-Time Career Passing Leaders. As he continues to climb the ladder, moving up even further becomes more and more difficult. So where will Stafford end up at the end of the 2024 NFL season?

If he plays to his average of 266.8 yards per game with the Rams, and plays 17 games, he will pass for 4,537 yards in 2024. At that end of that season, Matthew Stafford will have thrown for 15,474 yards for the team, carrying him all the way to the sixth spot among career record holders, surpassing legendary Rams quarterback Kurt Warner.

That's a pretty rapid ascension for a quarterback, veteran or rookie.

It appears that the top career passer for the Rams, Jim Everett, is safe at 23,758 passing yards. But with Stafford now at 36 years old, his place among Rams career passing leaders has become a bit of a race against time. How far will he climb in 2024? Let's hope far indeed.
