Puka Nacua sends a message about all of the recent Rams rumors

Nacua wants people to think the Rams are closed for business.

The Los Angeles Rams might not be playing in Super Bowl LIX but that doesn't mean the team hasn't made headlines this week. Star receiver Cooper Kupp announced on Monday night that he was informed that the team would be trading him this offseason.

Kupp's teammate and fellow receiver Puka Nacua then got in on the rumors, joking that he thought it was NBA trade season and not NFL trade season. Needless to say, Nacua clearly wasn't happy with the possibility of Kupp calling another team home next season.

While appearing on Up & Adams, Kay Adams made a comment about how she can't picture a Rams team without Kupp or Matthew Stafford. This led to Nacua joking (honestly, he's probably not joking) that he hopes no one takes his quarterback away.

"Keep putting it out there, 'Matthew's [Stafford] still part of the Rams," Nacua said.

Puka Nacua does not want to see Matthew Stafford leave the Rams

It's not going to be a good look to Nacua if the Rams do indeed part ways with both his fellow receiver and his quarterback but maybe this is what the Rams have to do if they want to stay competitive after the two aforementioned players leave. We've seen what it looks like when teams hold onto their star players for too long and sometimes it can be a tough hole to dig out of. The Rams look to be trying to avoid that.

That being said, we don't know what the future holds for Stafford. That means he could still be back in Los Angeles this year and trying to help the Rams win another Super Bowl. It also means that, unfortunately, he could be taking snaps and throwing passes elsewhere.

Nacua is right to be upset and/or worried but hopefully, Stafford sticks around and the two can continue to make magic happen on the football field.
