The Los Angeles Rams fell short of reaching the Super Bowl so now it's time to start talking about the offseason and what it will bring for the Rams. The Rams could have a lot of bigger questions on their hands if Matthew Stafford decides to retire but, as of this writing, no decison has been made there yet.

The simplest way for the Rams to have as much spending money as possible this offseason actually doesn't involve them cutting anyone. There are three moves in particular that, if the Rams commit to this spring, can save the team money and therefore make it easier to bring in talent this offseason.

Rams can free up cap space by restructuring Kyren Williams' contract and by extending Davante Adams and Kevin Dotson

This would be a simple solution because, it'd keep all three of these players in Los Angeles while also saving money to help build a better team. This season's Rams squad was clearly good enough to reach a Super Bowl but they fell just short so the saved money could be the difference in getting them to the big game next year.

If the Rams restructure running back Kyren Williams' contract, it'd free up $6.5 million, according to Over the Cap. From there, they could extend wide receiver Davante Adams, which would free up $18.1 million and keep him in Los Angeles past 2026, which is when he's set to be a free agent. Extending Kevin Dotson would also be a smart move for the Rams because, again, it frees up cap space ($11.8 million, to be exact) and keeps a talented player with the team past next season.

Les Snead will have plenty of tough decisions to make this offseason but this one should be a no-brainer. The Rams clearly like what they have in all three of these players, all of whom are on the offensive side of the ball, so keeping them around and saving money in the process feels like a slam dunk here.

Adams' decision to extend his contract with the Rams might be a tricky one though considering he's 33 years old and might not want to play with an inexperienced quarterback should Stafford retire. If Stafford does return, however, why not run it back and try to get to the Super Bowl?

Keeping the stars together needs to be a priority and, if these moves are made, it can happen while also saving the Rams money. A true win-win situation.
