Round 4 - Kansas OT Logan Brown
After two days of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Rams offensive arsenal is very impressive. But it's all for naught if the team lacks the ability to hold pass rushers at bay, or open holes for running backs to chew up plenty of real estate. So the next selection for the team is to address the offensive line, and ensure that the team adds a competitive offensive tackle to win the right to back up veteran RT Rob Havenstein.
They find their guy with Kansas offensive rookie OT prospect Logan Brown. Brown stands 6-foot-6 and weighs a solid 311 pounds. Brown has all the makings of a solid NFL offensive tackle. But with limited experience as a college starter, he falls to the Rams on Day 3. With 33.875-inch arms, Brown has the Stretch Armstrong ability to keep defenders helplessly at arms' length and control them at the line of scrimmage.
Brown has the prerequisite power and agility needed to excel in the NFL. Now, he simply needs to refine his techniques and earn playing time. He can do that on the Rams roster.
Round 6 - Virginia Tech DT Aeneas Peebles
The LA Rams continue to focus on the trenches with this pick, adding a powerhouse defensive lineman to the mix with Virginia Tech rookie defensive lineman prospect Aeneas Peebles. Peebles stands just over 6-foot-0.5 and weighs in at 282 pounds. While he is projected for a 3-tech role, he is an ideal understudy to cross-train behind veteran nose tackle Poona Ford (who stands 5-foot-11).
Peebles is truly more than meets the eye. While interior defensive linemen typically are viewed in one-dimensional run-stuffing roles, Peebles has a natural ability to terrorize opposing quarterbacks that the Rams would love to amplify in the NFL. Peebles has that explosive burst out of his stance that hits offensive linemen with incredibly force. Much like Kobie Turner and Poona Ford, Peebles follows up that powerful punch with catlike agility to slide to the side or simply thrown offensive linemen out of the way.
In his final two seasons of college football, Peebles racked up 74 tackles, 8.0 quarterback sacks, and 16 tackles for a loss. He even managed to bat five passes into incompletions. Typically, a rookie prospect of Peebles' caliber is projected as early as Day 2. But the abundance of talent in this draft triggers the atypical short-statured Peebles to Day 3. The Rams are more than thrilled at that.
