Report of Rams latest signings leaves unintended mystery for fans to solve

The Los Angeles Rams drafted six players. The team followed that up by agreeing to sign 17 undrafted rookies after the 2025 NFL Draft concluded. So you can imagine the confusion among Rams fans as the team reported signing four drafted rookies and just 15 undrafted collegiate free agents.

The team has not yet signed TE Terrance Ferguson or RB Jarquez Hunter. Perhaps there are valid reasons for not doing so yet, but the team has yet to announce the signing of undrafted IOL Willie Lampkin or DL Da'Jon Terry.

Was it a clerical error? Was the official contract signing of both William Lampkin and Da'Jon Terry delayed by unforeseen circumstances? Neither DaJon Terry's nor Willie Lampkin's social media accounts have been updated to reflect signing on the Rams roster, but the same is true for many of the Rams' undrafted collegiate free agent additions

Perhaps there was a mix-up in the assignment of new players' jersey numbers? That can't be it either. The Rams have assigned jersey number 98 to DL DaJon Terry and 62 to IOL Willie Lampkin. So whatever we are not seeing in terms of an actual report about the two players, everything leading up to that point in terms of in-processing and administrative actions appear to be completed.

Could this be a simply omission due to human error?

One player who reportedly signed with the team but is not reflected in the images is RB Jordan Waters. He has signed, but was not shown in a picture executing his rookie contract.

So Jordan Waters has one foot in that mystery surrounding DaJon Terry and Willie Lampkins, too. But with the simple missing photo, perhaps the task of getting a handle on so many new faces instantly has eluded the Rams' current reporting process.

For now, this feels more like timing than an actual newsworthy event. We are sharing the news simply to clarify the confusion. As it stands now, the Rams roster stands at 87 players of the 90 maximum roster slots. If anything changes, we will be happy to share the news. For now? There is nothing nefarious happening here. This is simply a case of wires getting crossed.
