The Los Angeles Rams offense must do a better job of putting points on the scoreboard in 2025. After all, if you examine who arrived, who left, and who stayed, the team was willing to part ways with two of the offense's top scorers from 2024. Both wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Demarcus Robinson had a nose for the end zone.
The team has added veteran wide receiver Davante Adams, who also possesses a nose for the end zone. And the healthy return of veteran tight end Tyler Higbee should generate more touchdowns from the tight end position. But the offense really needs third-year wide receiver Puka Nacua to step up in the scoring department this season.
It's not as though Puka Nacua is not getting open, or dropping passes in the red zone. Quite the opposite has taken place. After an incredible rookie season, Puka Nacua raised the bar by dropping just one pass in the entirety of 2024.
That elite-level good.
L.A. Rams WR Puka Nacua had 13 drops his rookie year but just one in 2024. In Year 3, he's focused on improving his quickness with the help of new teammate Davante Adams.

So, what should fans expect from him in 2025?
Nacua knows he has a lot to learn in 2025
Despite entering his third season, Puka Nacua remains humble and eager to learn. He has already spent a great deal of time learning how to improve his game form veteran wide receiver Davante Adams. And after two seasons of learning everything he possibly could from former teammate Cooper Kupp, these new lessons will help him develop even further.
In two seasons, Nacua has hauled in nearly 70 percent of passes thrown his way for 2,476 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. While his yardage is elite, he has not been the most frequently targeted receiver in the red zone. This season, I expect that will change dramatically.
Of course, many changes are anticipated for the offense this season. The team had invested in running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers, opening the possibilities for a more diverse and balanced offense this year.
But no matter how the team plans its offensive strategy, the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Puka Nacua has got to be one of the main contributors. He may defer to veteran WR Davante Adams for now, but come game day he will be the receiver targeted most often. And that is the key to the entire season.
If Nacua can match his 75 percent catch rate and 12.5 yards per reception, he will only need to average 6.3 targets per game to break 1000 receiving yards. But if he is targeted 150 times in 2025, he will put up more than 1400 receiving yards. this year. Gaining yards will not pose a problem.
But with Adams' guidance, Nacua is already developing better ways to create separation. And with separations, more touchdown receptions will follow.
Puka Nacua's camp reps are starting to feel like something bigger. This is not about padding stats. This feels like an elite NFL player preparing to overcome any challenger this season. As always, thanks for reading.
