The exodus of Los Angeles Rams front office executives to join new Jacksonville Jaguars GM James Gladstone has been unrelenting. Since hiring on as the Jaguars' GM, Gladstone has restocked his new front office with multiple former Rams associates. Not only did the Rams lose Gladstone, but they also lost their Data and Analytics Director, Jake Temme. As a result, the Rams had to do a bit of front office reshuffling, leading to new roles for:

  • John McKay | Assistant GM
  • Nicole Blake | Director Scouting, Strategy, & Analytics
  • Ray Farmer | Senior Advisor to GM
  • Taylor Martin | Senior Personnel Executive & Deputy Chief of College Scouting Staff
  • Billy Johnson | Senior Scouting Exec.
  • Matt Waugh | Director, Pro Personnel
  • Brian Hill | National Scout
  • Michael Pierce | National Scout
  • Vito Gonella | Regional Scout
  • Cedric Jones | Regional Scout
  • Michael Young | Pro Scout
  • Kellen Clemens | Special Assistant to the General Manager/Analyst

But since those new roles were announced, the Jaguars pried another Rams personnel executive loose to join their team. Rams senior personnel executive Brian Xanders has joined the Jaguars for a front office role.

So who replaces Xanders? We may have the answer to that question now, as the Rams are hiring former Titans assistant GM Anthony Robinson. While the hiring announcement does not specifically cite the new role for Rombinson, it's a good educated guess that he will backfill the vacated the senior personnel executive role vacated by Xanders.

So what should you know about Anthony Robinson?

Anthony Robinson was hired as the Assistant GM of the Tennessee Titans in 2023, after serving as the Atlanta Falcons Director of College Scouting. As the Assistant GM of the Titans, Robinson was charged with both pro and college scouting oversight. During his tenure with the Titans, Robinson was instrumental if having the foresight to draft Kentucky QB Will Levis in 2023. He helped to restock the Titans trenches by drafting OT JC Latham and DT T'Vondre Sweat in 2024.

The Rams scouting oversight has been hit hard with the loss of James Gladstone and more to the Jaguars. While we have to see how much of an impact Anthony Robinson will make on the Rams front office, one thing is certain. He brings an accomplished career with him to the Rams.

That's a very good start.

After all, he was involved with the Titans scouting though January 2025. And before that, he led the Falcons college scouting efforts. It's safe to say that he know how to look for the right fits from player profiles. Now all that is needed is to learn what the Rams need at each position. That should come quickly, and not a moment too soon for the Rams.

As always, thanks for reading.
